- We are back at Rådmandsgade Skole -
Just in: From now on (September 22nd) adult training at Dinos has been moved back to Rådmandsgade Skole (in the Dance hall, that’s in the cellar of the red building in the school yard) TIME: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm to 8pm.
Kids training continue on Guldberg Skole Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5pm to 7pm.

A few words about capoeira

People watching a capoeira demonstration often mistake it for a dance. Take a free class.

Capoeira is not a dance - but an intricate game being played out in the game-circle the Rodâ. See a Rodâ.

2 players improvise an one-on-one game in the circle accompanied by song, clapping and music.

Each of the players tries to manoeuvre the other player into a position of disadvantage - so he or she can kick, hit or take down the other player. Read more about capoeiras key concepts.

Note! Actual physical contact between the players is very seldom experienced, as it is seen as more beautiful to perform the action of the "hit" with out actual contact.

Capoeira moves played at Capoeira Malungos Denmark

Capoeira is a Brazilian figthing dance, and a beautiful fusion of dangerous fighting techniques, impressive acrobatics, playing and dancing, accompanied by the characteristic Capoeira songs and music. Our groups in Denmark

Our group members train with the influential Mestres Bimba and Pastinha, whilst at the same time developing each persons own personal style of play.

Our trainer Dino is the founder of one of the oldest schools of capoeira here in Copenhagen - Nørrebro - Sagui founded our group in Valby - Jilo is the founder of our group in Odense and Århus - Nino is the founder of our group in Ringsted.

Dino visited Copenhagen whilst on a tour of Europe arranged by a famous Brazilian Capoeira master, and decided to stay behind. During the last 8 years the school in Copenhagen has become a vibrant capoeira community. Read more about us.
